夏至 is the 10th solar term (节气) in the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar, marking the summer solstice — the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It falls around June 21, and in Chinese culture it's associated with the peak of yin energy beginning to rise, as well as seasonal customs like eating noodles in northern China.
