Definition
复职 means 'to be reinstated in one's former position' — it's a separable verb (离合词). The object 职 can be separated from 复 by a measure word or time expression: 复了职 ('was reinstated'), 复过职 ('has been reinstated before'). You don't put a direct object after 复职; the person is the subject.
