Definition
声势 (shēng shì) refers to the combined fame, influence, and momentum of a person, event, or group — how impressive or powerful they appear. It's broader than 势力 (shì lì), which focuses on concrete political or military power, and more about outward show than 声望 (shēng wàng), which is about earned reputation.
