Definition
墙 (qiáng) is the general word for any wall, from a room divider to a building wall. 墙壁 (qiáng bì, HSK6) is more formal and usually refers to the interior surface of a wall. 墙 can be counted with 面 (flat surfaces) or 堵 (sections of wall), while 墙壁 typically uses 面.
