堕落 (duò luò) means to degenerate morally or spiritually — to fall from grace or become depraved. It differs from 退化 (tuì huà), which is about biological or functional degeneration (e.g., organs, skills), and from 腐败 (fǔ bài), which refers to political corruption or organic rot. 堕落 is used for personal moral decline.
