坐禅 refers to seated meditation, a core practice in Chan (Zen) Buddhism. As a verb-object compound (离合词), it can be split: you can put aspectual markers like 过 or duration phrases between 坐 and 禅, e.g. 坐过禅 'have done sitting meditation' or 坐了一个小时的禅 'sat for an hour of meditation'.
