在业 means 'to be employed' and is a verb-object compound (离合词). The verb 在 and the object 业 can be separated when inserting duration, measure words, or other elements: 在了五年业, meaning 'have been employed for five years'. It is the counterpart of 失业 (unemployed) and is used in formal and workplace contexts.
