Definition
回话 (huí huà) is a separable verb (离合词) made up of the verb 回 (to return/reply) and the noun 话 (words/speech). It means 'to reply' or 'to bring back a message'. Because it's a separable verb, when you add aspect markers like 了 or 过, a measure word like 个, or an attributive like 我的, 回 and 话 split: 回了一句话, 回过话, 回个话, 回我的话. The person you reply to is introduced with 给 or 跟, not placed directly after 回话.
