Definition
嘭 (pēng) is an onomatopoeia for a loud, abrupt impact sound — like a door slamming, a heavy object hitting the ground, or a small explosion. You can use it as a standalone exclamation or embed it in a sentence with 一声 (yì shēng) to describe the sound: 嘭的一声 (with a bang). It's more forceful than 砰 (pēng), which is sharper and lighter.
