Definition
喝道 (hē, but correctly pronounced hè dào) is a verb that originates from ancient Chinese official processions. Attendants would shout loudly to clear the road for a high-ranking official, ordering commoners to step aside. Today it is used in historical narratives or figuratively to describe someone barking orders aggressively.
