Definition
喂奶 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to breastfeed' or 'to nurse' a baby. The two syllables can be separated by measure words or other elements, e.g. 喂了一次奶 ('fed the baby once'). You can also use it without splitting: 她在喂奶 ('she is breastfeeding'). Note that the object is the milk, not the baby — to specify the baby, use 给…喂奶 or 喂…吃奶.
