哪 (nǎ) means 'which' and must be followed by a measure word (like 个, 本, 些) to ask about a specific item or group. 哪个 (nǎ ge) is the fixed form for 'which one', and 哪些 (nǎ xiē) for 'which ones (plural)'. Use 哪 when you need to pair it with a different measure word.
