Definition
咯咯 (gē gē) is an onomatopoeia that mimics light, repetitive sounds — most commonly the sound of laughter (a giggle or chuckle) or the clucking of a hen. It can also describe the clicking of hard objects (e.g., shoes on a floor). You typically see it before verbs with 地, as in 咯咯地笑 (giggle) or 咯咯地叫 (cluck).
