Definition
呓语 is a formal, literary noun referring to speech produced while asleep (sleep-talking) or, by extension, any incoherent or nonsensical talk. It is less common in everyday conversation than 说梦话 (shuō mènghuà) for the literal sense; the figurative use overlaps with 胡言乱语 (húyánluànyǔ) but carries a slightly more poetic or clinical tone.
