Definition
呋 (fū) is a rare Chinese character that you'll almost only see in specialized transliterations of chemical terms, most notably 呋喃 (fū nán, furan) and 呋喃西林 (fū nán xī lín, furacilin). It also appears as an old variant of 趺 (fū), but that usage is very uncommon. In daily life, you don't need to recognize or use 呋 on its own.
