Definition
吵嘴 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning to quarrel or bicker, usually over trivial matters. The two syllables 吵 and 嘴 can split when you add aspect markers (吵了嘴, 吵过嘴), measure words (吵了几句嘴), or objects (吵什么嘴). The person you quarrel with is introduced by 跟 or 和: 跟他吵嘴 'bicker with him'.
