Definition
发傻 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to be in a stupor' or 'to act silly/be dazed'. The two parts — 发 and 傻 — can split when you insert measure words, time expressions, or complements: for example, 发了半天傻 ('was in a stupor for a long time') or 发过一回傻 ('has acted stupid once'). It is informal and often describes a temporary state of absent-mindedness or foolishness.
