Definition
反思 means to reflect on or re-examine past actions or situations, often with the goal of learning from them. It is more analytical and forward-looking than 反省 (fǎn xǐng), which focuses on moral self-criticism of one's own mistakes. Unlike 思考 (sī kǎo, 'to think deeply'), 反思 always involves looking back at something specific.
