Definition
去火 is a verb-object separable verb (离合词) used in traditional Chinese medicine to describe 'reducing internal heat' — a state of imbalance caused by spicy food, stress, or inflammation. The object 火 can be modified or quantified when the verb is split: 去了火 ('the heat has been reduced'), 去去火 ('reduce the heat a bit'). You don't place an object after 去火; instead, the 火 itself carries the measure.
