Definition
单口相声 is a traditional Chinese comedic performance genre where a single performer tells a story or jokes, often with witty commentary and character impersonations. Unlike 对口相声 (two-person cross-talk), it relies entirely on the solo performer's verbal skill and timing. It's a culturally significant form of storytelling rooted in Beijing folk art.
