Definition
协和 is a formal verb meaning 'to mediate, harmonize, or bring into concord'. It appears in political, diplomatic, and technical contexts — for example, 协和各方意见 ('mediate the opinions of all sides'). In music theory it's used as a translation for 'consonant' (harmonious in sound). Note that 协和 is also the name of the Concorde supersonic jet (协和式客机), but that's a proper noun, not this verb sense.
