Definition
卍 (wàn) is a Chinese character representing the swastika, an ancient and auspicious symbol in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. In Chinese Buddhist contexts, you'll see it on statues of the Buddha, on temple walls, and in decorative patterns — it's a positive symbol of good luck, prosperity, and eternity. Note that its meaning is entirely different from the Nazi emblem rotated 45 degrees; in Chinese and other Asian cultures it always appears as a left-turning or right-turning motif with religious significance.
