Definition
势必 (shì bì) is a formal adverb meaning 'bound to, inevitably' — it emphasizes that a situation or outcome is a logical, unavoidable result of given conditions. It is stronger and more written than 早晚 (zǎo wǎn 'sooner or later'), which focuses on time, and more objective than 注定 (zhù dìng 'be destined to'), which implies fate or doom. It is similar to 必定 (bì dìng) but 势必 often introduces a cause-effect chain.
