Definition
助理 (zhù lǐ) is a formal noun meaning 'assistant', commonly used in job titles (e.g. 经理助理). It is more specific and professional than 助手 (zhù shǒu 'helper') and more official than the colloquial 帮手 (bāng shou 'helping hand'). Do not confuse with 辅助 (fǔ zhù) which means 'auxiliary' as a function, not a person.
