Definition
动怒 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to lose one's temper' or 'to flare up'. The two syllables can split: 动 and 怒 can be separated by aspect markers (动了怒), complements (动起怒来), or measure words (动一次怒). You cannot put an object after 动怒 — if you need to specify who you're angry at, use 对…动怒 or 跟…动怒.
