Definition
加价 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning to raise or hike the price. When you need to insert a time marker, measure word, or aspect particle, the verb and object split: 加 can take 了/过/过, and 价 acts as the object. For example, 加过三次价 ('raised the price three times'). Don't put a direct object after 加价; instead use 对…加价 or just state the price increase.
