Definition
力争 (lì zhēng) means 'to strive for' with determination, often in competitive contexts. It is more forceful than 争取 (zhēng qǔ), which can also mean 'to win over' support. 力求 (lì qiú) is similar but focuses on 'making every effort' rather than contending.
