Definition
刮脸 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to shave (one's face)'. The verb 刮 ('scrape') and noun 脸 ('face') can split to insert 了 (completion), measure words, or other modifiers between them, e.g., 刮了一次脸 ('shaved once'). You generally use this for shaving your own face (not a barber's service on someone else — for that, use 刮胡子 or 修面).
