Definition
判决 (pànjué) is the formal legal term for a court passing judgment or issuing a sentence after a trial. It is the final judicial decision, contrasting with 审判 (shěnpàn) which refers to the entire trial process, and 判处 (pànchǔ) which focuses specifically on sentencing a person to a punishment. Use 判决 for the court's verdict or ruling itself.
