Definition
分解 (fēn jiě) means to systematically break something down into its constituent parts — either physically (decompose) or analytically (resolve). For organic decay, use 腐烂 (fǔ làn, rot); for a structure or organization falling apart, use 解体 (jiě tǐ, disintegrate). For mathematical or formal analysis into components, 解析 (jiě xī) is more specific and technical.
