Definition
出诊 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to make a house call' — used when a doctor visits a patient at home. The verb 出 can separate from 诊 when inserting measures, durations, or aspect markers: 出过一次诊 ('made a house call once'), 出了三次诊 ('made three house calls'). You cannot place the patient directly after 出诊; instead use 去...家出诊 or 给...出诊.
