Definition
出勤 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning to attend work or be present at your post. It is formed by the verb 出 (go out) and the noun 勤 (duty/attendance). When split, elements such as time duration (出了半天勤), number of times (出过一次勤), or negation (没出勤) can be inserted between the two syllables. It is used in formal contexts, especially workplace attendance records.
