Definition
冗 is a bound morpheme (不能单独使用) that appears in compound words meaning 'redundant', 'superfluous', 'lengthy/verbose', or 'busy (schedule)'. For example, 冗长 (rǒngcháng, lengthy and tedious), 冗余 (rǒngyú, redundant), 冗务 (rǒngwù, tedious tasks/busy schedule). As a bound form, it must attach to another character to form a word.
