Definition
冒进 refers to a policy or action that is recklessly hasty, often used to criticize overly ambitious economic or political moves that ignore realistic constraints. It is distinct from 冒险 (to take risks) in that 冒进 carries a sense of foolish overreaching, not just risk-taking. The term gained prominence during critiques of the Great Leap Forward and other radical campaigns.
