Definition
具象 refers to concrete, tangible imagery — the opposite of 抽象 (abstract). In art, it describes representational works that depict recognizable objects or scenes (具象艺术). Outside art, it can mean 'concrete' in a philosophical or conceptual sense (具象思维 'concrete thinking'). You'll usually see it paired with 抽象 in comparative contexts.
