Definition
公分 is a colloquial measure word for 'centimeter' (length) and 'gram' (weight). It is used after numbers, like 五公分 (5 cm) or 一百公分 (100 g). The more standard terms are 厘米 for centimeter and 克 for gram, but 公分 is still common in everyday speech. Note: despite dictionary listings, 公分 is not used as a verb meaning 'to share equally' — that sense belongs to the verb 分 (fēn).
