入睡 is a formal verb-object compound (离合词) meaning 'to fall asleep' — more literary than the everyday 睡着 (shuì zháo). As a separable verb, you can insert 了, 过, or 得/不 between the syllables: 入不了睡 ('can't fall asleep'), 入过一次睡 ('fell asleep once'). The object 睡 never takes its own object; if you need to specify a person, use 让某人入睡.
