Definition
催命 literally means 'to hasten life' but is a strong idiom meaning to keep pressing someone to do something urgently, sometimes to the point of annoyance. As a separable verb (离合词), you can insert words like 你的 or 她/他的 between 催 and 命, e.g. 催你的命 ('to be on your case'). Use it when someone is constantly rushing you.
