债券 (zhàiquàn) is a financial term meaning 'bond' — a formal debt instrument issued by a company or government to raise funds. It is distinct from 债务 (zhàiwù, 'debt' in general) and 欠条 (qiàntiáo, an informal IOU). 券 (quàn) alone means 'ticket, voucher' and is not a standalone financial bond.
