Definition
俯视 (fǔ shì) means to physically look down from above. This contrasts with 忽略 (hū lüè, to neglect/miss), 藐视 (miǎo shì, to despise figuratively), and 眺望 (tiào wàng, to gaze into the distance horizontally from a height). 俯视 is purely spatial downward gaze.
