Definition
修 has several common meanings: to repair, to build, and to study/take a course. For the 'repair' sense, it is similar to 修理 (xiū lǐ), but 修 is more general and can also mean 'build'; 修理 is more specific to mending or fixing mechanical items. 收拾 (shōu shi) can also mean 'fix' but is more colloquial and often implies tidying up or handling a situation.
