修补 (xiū bǔ) means to mend or repair by patching or filling, often used for smaller damaged items (clothes, vases, road surfaces) and abstract things like relationships. It is narrower than 修理 (general fixing of machines) and 补 (which also means supplementing or making up for something). For restoring art or large structures, use 修复 instead.
