低微 is a stative verb (adjective) that describes something as 'low' in two main contexts: social status (humble, lowly) or sound volume (soft, faint). It is often used with nouns like 地位 (status), 声音 (voice), or 出身 (background). Be careful not to confuse it with 低 (low in height) — 低微 is abstract, not physical.
