估算 (gū suàn) means 'to estimate' and is used for numerical or quantitative calculations based on data (e.g., cost, load capacity). It is more specific than 估计 (gū jì), which can also mean 'to reckon' or 'to suppose' without necessarily involving numbers. Compared to 评估 (píng gū), 估算 is less formal and focuses on rough calculation rather than comprehensive evaluation.
