Definition
传递 is a general verb for 'to transmit, pass on' — it works for information, objects, diseases, etc. It is more formal than the shorter 传 (chuán), which is used in many compound words; and more neutral than 传达 (chuán dá, formal for messages/orders) or 传输 (chuán shū, technical for data/signals).
