Definition
伏特 is a measure word (classifier) for electric potential, equivalent to 'volt' in English. It follows numbers directly, like other units: 五伏特 (5 volts). You can also attach 的 when modifying a noun: 十二伏特的电池 (a 12-volt battery). It is a loanword from English, but unlike transparent concrete-noun loans, its classifier function requires knowing the pattern.
