Definition
仰 (yǎng) means 'to face upward' or 'to look up' physically, and also 'to admire' or 'to rely on'. 仰望 (yǎng wàng) is more specific: 'to look up at something high above' or 'to admire (a person/ideal)'. 瞻仰 (zhān yǎng) is a formal term for paying respects by viewing a revered person's remains or memorial.
