Definition
买入 is a formal, finance-oriented verb meaning 'to buy' or 'to purchase' — you'll see it in stock trading, corporate accounting, and investment contexts (买入股票 'buy stocks', 买入资产 'purchase assets'). It's the opposite of 卖出 (sell) and is more technical than everyday 买. In Chinese financial reporting, 买入 is used as a single unit, but grammatically it's often followed by the thing being bought.
