Definition
中风 (zhòng fēng) means 'to have a stroke' — a medical condition where blood flow to the brain is interrupted. It's a separable verb (离合词): the verb 中 ('to suffer') and the noun 风 ('wind', from traditional Chinese medicine) can be separated by a measure word (次) or a duration, e.g., 中了一次风 ('had a stroke once'). In modern usage it refers to a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), not just the TCM concept of 'wind strike'.
v.o.
