Definition
专一 describes being focused on one thing or person to the exclusion of others. It is often used for romantic fidelity (专一的爱情 'devoted love') or for dedication to a single pursuit (专一的研究精神 'single-minded research spirit'). It is stronger than 专心 (concentrated on a task) and implies exclusivity.
